Gorilla tracking permit cost difference in Uganda and Rwanda, for anyone wishing to do gorilla tracking experience either in Uganda or Rwanda, he/she is required to have purchased a Gorilla permit, a card only obtained from Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) if you wish to track from Uganda side and in Rwanda they are required to obtain it from Rwanda Development Board (RDB) which will permit you to spend an hour with Mountain gorillas in either Bwindi Impenetrable forest National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park or Volcanoes National Park. Currently, Rwanda’s gorilla trekking permit costs $ 1500.00 US dollars for Non-residents and in Uganda, a gorilla tracking permit cost $ 700.00 US dollars for Non-residents and $ 600.00 US dollars for Foreign Residents.

- He/she must be physically fit
- He/she must have good trekking shoes
- You must pack sunscreen and insect repellent
- He/she should have a hut, Gloves, strong Trouser and Long-sleeved shirts
