Day 1: Travel from Kampala / Entebbe to Bwindi forest National Park

Early morning depart from Kampala to Bwindi for 3 days Gorilla tracking Bwindi safari, taking 8 hours drive, quite long drive but worth taking while enjoying the countryside scenery of beautiful natures to the Virunga massive with an en-route stopover at the Uganda Equator crossing for the photographic and simple experiment before proceeding to Mbarara town for Lunch. then embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Forest National Park through Kabale to Kisoro. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Gorilla Tracking Bwindi Forest National Park

Early morning breakfast then transfers to Park headquarters to register while waiting for Gorilla tracking briefing by UWA park wardens and rangers about the dos and the don’ts. Once done grouping, you will trek through the thick forest with your guides to find the Mountain Gorillas, taking like half an hour to six. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing ease of access. While trekking through the jungle, higher chances of spotting other primates, birds, and rare tree species.

As soon as you encounter shy mountain gorillas, you will be allowed to spend one hour with them before trekking back to the Park headquarter, because Gorillas are also wild and sometimes they can recharge. Later in the afternoon, go for a village walk to encounter the local people surrounding Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. an amazing experience, seeing how resourceful the local people are as you see and learn their ways of livelihood and it is also a great way to support the local community indirectly way by purchasing their local products. Return to the lodge for overnight at the booked accommodation.

After your morning breakfast, check out of your lodge with your luggage and you will be driven back to Kampala / Entebbe, with an optional en route stopover at Igongo cultural centre to explore the culture of the Ankole region if time permits and then embark on the drive to Kampala / Entebbe Airport.
