After early morning breakfast, Biiso Africa Safaris driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala / or any place of residence and drive there if you are not in Entebbe. The first stop will be, Entebbe town then traversing to the Botanical Gardens which is located on the shores of Lake Victoria, a sanctuary for many primates ( Vervet monkeys and black-white colobus ), most tropical plants, and not forgetting to do walking on the white sand beach.
Entebbe Botanical Gardens also host closely 20 different bird species and butterflies, the sight of spotting local fishermen casting their nets on canoes, as well as the beautiful lakeshore scenery, which will be a guarantee to have a peaceful morning in a relaxing place blown by the cool lake breeze.
Option Visit to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre ( UWEC )
With this 1 day Entebbe tour, you can opt to visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre ( UWEC ), Entebbe Zoo where you will spot most of the endangered species that were rescued, animals and bird species residing in Uganda, gazetted in a semi-natural habitat like Lion, Cape Buffalo, Antelopes, Snakes, Crocodile plus very many other bird species. Visit Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, you can opt for a half or full-day tour, which involves a boat cruise on Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary, for a speedboat it takes approximately 45 minutes and the boat ride takes approximately 90 minutes and has a chance to view chimpanzees while participating in the feeding. Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary is a home away from noise and engine, spotting monitor lizards, bird species, and photographic opportunities.
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee activities
Upon arrival at the sanctuary, you will be directed to the visitor’s centre where you will be introduced to the project, its history, our residents, and their plight. While here, you will receive a personal orientation by a chimpanzee caregiver and view the feeding of the chimpanzees and you will view one feeding from the visitors’ raised platform area along the edge of the sanctuary fence in the afternoon viewing 12.45 pm – 5.00 pm. We arrange both half and full-day trips and our boats leave at either 9:00 am or 12:45 pm.
