Gorilla Safaris and Tours in Uganda
Mountain gorillas are the big attraction. They are very special animals - rare, gently, like us yet so different. Tracking gorillas is a unique experience - it leads you into a strange land to meet unusual creatures on their own terms. It must be stressed that, while you have a very good chance of seeing gorillas, success is NOT guaranteed!
Chimpanzee Tours in Uganda
Chimpazees are globally endangered because their populations are declining rapidly where they occur. Much of the decline is due to the bush meat trade and loss of habitat. Uganda's chimpanzee population is thought to be less threatened by hunting than elsewhere in Africa because Ugandans do not generally eat primate meat.
Birdwatching Safaris in Uganda
The country list stands at over 1,017 bird species with expected additions; an opportunity for any enthusiastic Birdwatcher in Uganda. This stunning high bird diversity made Uganda once to be described as a "hidden Eden…and wonderland for Birds", by Sir Frederick Jackson, a keen ornithologist and former Governor of the Uganda Protectorate.
